Last week was full of news and special dates for every Trekkie in the world. First of all, the 9th of September was Star Trek 50th anniversary. We posted a recopilation of all our drawings about Star Trek we have posted so far.
But, also, it was the premiere of a very, truly special movie: the documentary about Leonard Nimoy’s life, called “For the Love of Spock”. This beautiful movie was made by no other than his own son, Adam Nimoy, with the help of Zachary Quinto as the narrator of the movie (the current Mr. Spock on the recent Star Trek movies) and the participation of Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper on the series Big Bang Theory, and a great fan of Nimoy’s Spock). It also includes interviews with several and interesting personas that were connected to Nimoy, like William Shatner and Nichelle Nichols (from Star Trek), the director J.J. Abrams and the astrophysic Neil deGrasse Tyson. This movie, full of love and care, was premiered on the 9th of September, as well.
By the way, Dalbier has done a beautiful tribute to the figure of Mr. Spock, both for the movie premiere and for the 50th anniversary. Here is the tribute, but don’t forget to visit her Instagram profile!
59th Leonard Nimoy. The first Spock. I miss him a lot. So many memories and games of my childhood… (My partner-in-crime @thevictoriadane will write a post about Spock, it will be posted tomorrow on TwoBrainFarts.com) Leonard Nimoy. El primer Spock. Le echo mucho en falta.
